Service contracts in Wello help you define the type of service agreement you have with each customer—whether it’s corrective, preventive maintenance. However, the number of contracts you can create depends entirely on the subscription plan your company is using.

Wello offers different levels of flexibility across its subscription tiers:

Start & Advanced Plans

If your company is on the Start or Advanced Plan, service contracts are not included. This means you won’t be able to create any service contract at all. If you attempt to create one, Wello will prompt you to upgrade because your current plan does not support that feature.

Professional License Plan

Subscribers on the Professional License Plan can create only one active service contract per customer account.
This contract can be set to either Preventive or Corrective maintenance based on the agreement with the customer.

Within this single contract, users still have the ability to create multiple service models for the customer. However, you cannot create a second service contract for the same customer while on this plan.

If you attempt to do so, Wello will show an upgrade notification, not because the feature is unavailable, but because you have already reached the one-contract limit for the Professional plan.

Enterprise License Plans

Subscribers on the Enterprise License Plan can create and manage multiple active service contracts for the same customer account.

These contracts can be any mixture of Preventive and Corrective types, giving full flexibility to structure different service agreements for the same client.

Each contract can also contain multiple service models, allowing companies to build complex service setups and manage several agreements simultaneously without restrictions.

This plan provides the highest level of customization and control.

Note

If you receive an upgrade notification while creating a service contract:

  • You may be on the Start or Advanced plan, which does not allow service contracts.

  • Or you may be on the Professional plan and have already created your one allowed contract for that customer. You can still add multiple service models inside the existing contract but cannot create an additional one unless you upgrade.

If you were previously able to create multiple service contracts for a customer account but can no longer do so, this is because creating and managing multiple active service contracts for the same customer account has been moved to the Enterprise license plan. To continue using this feature, you can upgrade your plan or contact Wello Support for assistance.
